MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Koragen® 20 SC is an insecticide with a fundamentally new mode of action from the anthranilamide group with mainly gastric, but also contact, pronounced ovo-larvicidal effect, and in some species it also acts on adults. After treatment with Koragen® 20 SC, the larvae stop feeding almost immediately, but die after 24-60 hours. They may regurgitate some of the ingested food and thus remain attached to the leaf without causing any damage. Koragen® 20 SC moves translaminarly in the plant and has a prolonged effect, maintaining its high activity 14-21 days after treatment.
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:
To be treated upon reaching IPV for the various enemies.
Maize application: High densities of Corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) can significantly reduce yield and lead to economic losses. It is treated 5-7 days after detection of the peak of flight and when IPV is reached (10 egg clusters per 100 plants for grain corn and 3 eggs per 100 plants for seed corn). Peak flight detection can be done by placing pheromone traps followed by surveying for egg masses. A maximum of two consecutive treatments are carried out per season.
Application in potatoes: For the best protection, Koragen® 20 SK is applied at the beginning of hatching, in the presence of larvae of the first instar or when the first damage is detected. Use of Koragen® 20 SC at a dose of 6 ml/ha provides long-lasting control (21 days), even with a very strong attack by the Colorado potato beetle.
Application in fruit (seed and stone): For the best protection of the fruit, Koragen® 20 SK is applied before the start of hatching of the eggs against the first and second generation. Two or more treatments with appropriate insecticides are required to achieve good control of one generation of apple fruitworm. Koragen® 20 SK should be applied in a program with other insecticides
different from its mode of action, treatments with it should not exceed more than 2 during the growing season.
Application in vineyards: For optimal control, Koragen® 20 SK is applied during egg laying and until the first larvae hatch and first bites begin. Maximum number of treatments during the growing season: 1 treatment for wine varieties and up to 2 treatments for dessert varieties. Application interval: 14 days.
